For years, I struggled with chronic pain, anxiety, and various health issues that impacted nearly every part of my life. I experienced intense discomfort in my shoulders, feet, and neck, combined with gut issues and overwhelming anxiety that made even simple tasks feel daunting. I was caught in a frustrating cycle of searching for answers, but traditional medical approaches didn’t bring the relief I was desperately seeking. To learn more about my experience with chronic pain, you can listen to this podcast episode where I was interviewed by Dr. David Clarke, board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, and President of the Association for Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms.
Everything shifted when I discovered Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), emotional awareness practices, and somatic techniques. These approaches helped me realize that much of my pain was connected to my nervous system and past experiences, rather than just physical causes. By learning to tune into my body’s signals with curiosity and compassion, I began to break the cycle of pain and fear. Somatic techniques taught me to reconnect with my body in a safe, nurturing way, while PRT helped me retrain my brain to stop misinterpreting signals as danger. Mindfulness became a vital part of my healing journey, allowing me to stay present, acknowledge difficult emotions, and cultivate self-compassion rather than frustration.
Today, I am pain-free and more connected to my body and mind than ever before. My healing journey inspired me to help others who are navigating their own chronic pain, anxiety, or symptoms that feel impossible to overcome. I believe deeply in the power of these approaches because they transformed my life.
In my practice, I combine Pain Reprocessing Therapy, somatic healing techniques, mindfulness, and yoga practices to guide my clients on their unique paths toward healing. I approach each person with empathy, mindfulness, and curiosity, and a trauma-informed, inclusive lens, honoring their experiences and creating a space where they can feel safe and empowered to heal.
